Utah Trip! March 2016

After moving to Arizona December 2012, Chuck and I finally had the chance to go back to Utah to visit!  Even though it was only for a few days, my mom was in town and we were able to see one of my sisters and my aunt and her family and one of my cousins from Idaho who I haven't seen in years!  Before the trip we made a list of all the things we wanted to do again while we were in town.  A lot of mine were food places I wanted to try and Chuck's were places we wanted to go back and see in Salt Lake.

Day One: Our flight was at 6:30 AM.  We were up around four to get ready and drive to the Mesa airport.  The flight wasn't too bad and we had an empty seat next to us so Cora had her own spot!  My sister picked us up from the airport (the Provo airport is one of the tiniest I have ever seen) and the first place we went was to get some breakfast from Hruska's Kolaches.  After, she took me to Swig and I got a coconut frapp which was delicious!  We headed back to her house
and I took a nap and Chuck took Cora on a walk.  For lunch we headed to J-Dawgs!!

J-Dawgs!

After lunch we met up with my mom at the Provo temple.  On our way from the parking lot we ran into Chuck's good friend Mark!  It was by total chance we both happened to be there that day but it was good to see him again!  After the temple we met up with my aunt, a couple of her kids, and their kids and had dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe. We were pretty beat by then and headed to our hotel.

Dinner with the cousins!
The next day we bundled up and headed to the BYU Museum of Paleontology.  Cora absolutely loved it!  We had gone to the dinosaur museum a few weeks earlier and since then she has loved dinosaurs.  If you ask her what a dinosaur says, she replies "rawr!"

After the museum we met up with my parents at the Life Science Museum till my sister Maddy was done at work and we headed out for some lunch.  No pictures, but we got sushi burritos and they were so good!! After we hit the mall and Chuck bought Cora these sunglasses that she totally loves.

After the mall we went to dinner at Gandolfo's before heading to my cousin Jaylin's house where we would be staying that night.  The family met there and we played games for a while and had dessert.  The next morning we headed to Salt Lake!

It was pretty cold for us, but we're pretty adjusted to the Arizona heat (as much as one can adjust).  We met up with an old college friend and had dinner at The Pie.  Chuck had been dying to go back to get some cheese pull-a-parts for years.

The Pie!

And then we drove around and looked at all our old places until we met up with our old friends Caitlin and Tim and their baby Olivia at City Creek and then headed to Gateway Mall.

Easter Sunday! We went to our old Ward in Salt Lake.  There were only a couple faces we recognized but it was fun going to our old building!  After we went to temple square.  Cora napped in her stroller for most of it, but when we woke up and loved all the fountains and flowers!

26 weeks.

After seeing our favorite Salt Lake places and taking Cora to Liberty Park, we headed back to to cousins's house for Easter dinner with the rest of my family.  After dinner and hanging out we headed to our hotel in Provo and packed up all our stuff and got ready for our flight home the next day.

No pictures, but the next morning we met up with my parents are the car rental return and met up with my sister Maddy back at to get more kolaches for breakfast and then went to the airport.  It was a fast trip but it was so good to back and see all our old places and being able to spend some time with my family.  Can't wait to go back someday! We'll miss you Utah!
