The last week of February Cora and I headed to California for a "girls getaway" with my mom, my aunt Stephanie, her daughter Madisen and my other aunt Janet! Stephanie and Madisen live in Northern California so we don't get to see them very often so we were really excited about this trip! We were originally supposed to fly out Saturday the 27th, but we were worried about getting to the airport on time because of the Phoenix Marathon (the block us in every year!) so we changed our tickets to Monday. The flight was short and Cora was a total champ!
On the way to Dana Point from the airport we stopped in Carlsbad to visit my stepdad for lunch, what's a trip to California without some In-N-Out!
After lunch we headed to the beach and met up with my aunt Janet! We walked down the beach and had dinner at a Mexican restaurant next door. We rented a couple movies and waited for Stephanie and Madisen to join us!
The next day we went to the beach in San Clemente. Cora loved playing in the sand (once she woke up) and playing with Madisen! They have always had so much fun together!
My aunt Steph and I have always been really close. I couldn't be more excited to be pregnant at the same time as she is! Here we are showing off our baby bumps! We are both due with boys this summer. My only wish is that we lived closer together so that they could play together every day. ;P
After the beach we got lunch at Habit and hit up an H&M outlet. Not that this baby boy needs anymore clothes at this point, still still got a couple more things. Haha, thanks mom!
The next day we headed to the mission in San Juan Capistrano. Though we didn't go inside the mission, we got to admire the outside. It's incredible looking! We stayed in the downtown area and walked around. I ended up buying Cora one of those child size pianos and I'm excited to put it in our new place (wherever that may be.)

Thursday, Stephanie headed back North and we headed back to Temecula. We stopped in Carlsbad again to have lunch with my stepdad at Smashburger and then headed to my mom's house to stay the rest of our visit. We did some shopping and had fro-yo with some friends and mostly just hung out and spent some time together. I love having my mom close and that we are able to see each other almost every month. I miss visiting Colorado but I love having her so much closer.

When you don't pack any warm clothes and have to take some out of baby boy's stash.
